Jody LaPorte

Welcome! 

I am an Associate Professor at the Oxford School of Global and Area Studies (OSGA) and Tutorial Fellow in Politics and International Relations at Lincoln College, University of Oxford.

My research investigates political institutions and political economy in non-democratic regimes, focusing on the countries of post-Soviet Eurasia. I am interested in how the complex arrays of informal and formal institutions shape political outcomes in these contexts. I also work on research methods, particularly in the area of qualitative research methods in the social sciences.
